Jesse stated, "My whole life has been full of hard decisions. The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put in to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart." "Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go. Right now it is time for me to beat this addiction that has taken two of the things I love the most in my life."

I wonder why it is that when males cheat on their wives and are in the public eye, they usually try to blame it on a sex addiction and think that by going to sex rehab they are making some kind of big step to prove their wife that they know they messed up and will one day be the man their wife will want again. It seems to always just be the first step to take when a wife is thinking about divorce.
It has been said that Jesse has been having affairs with several women for the past three years and I wonder how much of that is because he is a sex addict and how much is due to Sandra's building career and stardom. He too is a celebrity and has his own show but is nowhere near as successful as she has become. It makes me wonder how much of his need to seek out other women is due to Sandra's success. Also, no one is judging Bullock for Jesse's infidelities so it seems strange to make that request. Tiger did the same for his wife, even though she did come out swinging a golf club, I don't think she was being judged for his embarrassments.
